Wooten

Hello! My name is is Jennifer Wooten.  I am a 5th grade teacher here at Robinson Elementary.  The 2018-2019 school year will mark my 7th year teaching 5th grade.

I have lived in Dawsonville for 23 years.  In 2003, I graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.  After working for a non-profit youth organization for a year in North Carolina, I returned to Georgia to obtain my teaching certification in elementary education.  I have a wonderful husband, Tony, and 3 outstanding sons!  We enjoy camping, playing sports and hanging out on the weekends.

Teaching Language Arts has always been a passion of mine!  I love being able to spark students' interest in reading and finding their niche in a reading genre.  My top 3 goals that I have for each student that enter my classroom are that they leave with a love of reading in their favorite genre, to know that they were challenged and strengthened by my teaching, and loved by their teacher. I am excited to be a part of Robinson Elementary and lead a great group of 5th grade students to achieve their goals for this school year!
